Summer Immersion

Learn about NAISC Summer Immersion.

The NAISC summer immersion is an individualized experience in which NAISC Scholars propose ways to extend their learning about working with Indigenous cultures.

Often this involves extending personal work in identity and community, but also may include work on a reservation, interviews, school visits, or healing ceremonies.

For Indigenous Scholars, "going home" is an essential part of staying connected with community as they move through the graduate programs.

Each is asked to submit a proposal by March 1 for the following summer.
