Marriage & Family Therapy

As a major university, SDSU also selects its faculty members for their potential and actual contributions to research and other scholarship in their disciplines. Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT) program faculty members actively publish in respected professional journals and present at major regional and national conferences. The program seeks diversity in its faculty membership and currently offers bilingual (Spanish/English) teaching and supervising faculty. 62% percent of faculty and 67% of supervisors identify as people of color. Consistent with our ethnic diversity, more than half of our faculty identify as bilingual speakers, affording our linguistically diverse students the opportunity to learn and train outside of English.
