Margaret Slaska, Ph.D., LMFT

Bio

Margaret Slaska received an MA in Women’s Studies and an MS in Counseling, MFT, both from SDSU. Her doctoral research examines cultural discourses of trauma and resiliencies, narrative therapy, domestic violence and sexual assault. She is the Program Director for the MA Education, Concentration in Counseling and Trauma-informed Care Certificate (Hybrid Online) program. She also teaches with the Marriage and Family Therapy Program and Women’s Studies Department. She has worked in the domestic violence and sexual assault victim advocacy field and currently practices with Narrative Health Initiatives in Collaboration with the Center for Health and Wellbeing, an integrative medical center.
