Parent Leadership Academy and Network (PLAN)

The Parent Leadership Academy and Network (PLAN) is dedicated to:

    1. developing skilled parent leaders and family support liaisons  
    2. linking parent leaders to other parents and networks
    3. developing mentoring and coaching skills to support family engagement with children and schools
    4. supporting parent leaders in implementing community projects that have significant contributions to their community
    5. working with parent leaders to partner with other parents, educators, administrators, and supportive community organizations.   
    6. training parents to identify warning signs for social emotional and mental health issues in children and youth
    7. guiding parents in connecting to services and supporting access to health counselors and mental health providers
