The Transition Specialist Certificate Program (TSCP) is a collaborative effort between the Departments of Special Education and Administration, Rehabilitation and Postsecondary Education at SDSU funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs.

Program Goal

The goal of this project is to prepare 45 highly qualified secondary special education teachers to meet the requirements for a California Clear Education Specialist Credential (ESC) in either Mild/ Moderate Disabilities or Moderate/ Severe disabilities and a Transition Specialization Certificate by the SDSU Division of Graduate Affairs. Scholars are recruited from a culturally and linguistically diverse population of students who completed their Bachelor’s degree at SDSU.
