Service-Learning Tutor Application for Fall 2022 is available now!
Please join us for an information session via zoom on April 27, 2022 from noon to 1pm.
Whether you are interested in being a teacher or just want to give back to the local community, we will begin enrolling students in TE-362: Fieldwork in Community Settings, ED-201 Introduction to Literacy, and GEN S 280 Introduction to Civic Engagement in April 2022 for Fall 2022. This may count as Early Field Experience if you are going for your teaching credential!

With the Service Learning classes you will be placed at a local elementary, middle, or high school in the San Diego community as a tutor. You can earn credits, money and be part of giving back to under-served students in San Diego! Service learning course + tutoring in the school site = opportunity to give back to our community.
Work in small groups and one-on-one with students to build early literacy, vocabulary and reading comprehension.
