Upcoming Events/Deadlines

LIMITED FACE-TO-FACE LITERACY CENTER PROGRAMS RETURNING THIS SUMMER, 2021!

The SDSU Literacy Center has received permission to re-open on a very small scale for Summer 2021 programs, including WRITE TO RISE and small-group Community Reading Clinic sessions, beginning June 21! Safety precautions, including facial coverings, will be required of all instructors, parents, and children who enter our space - regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status. Please see program dates and details below.

Summer 2021 Offerings

WRITE TO RISE, Tuesday and Thursday, 2:00-3:15pm. Our popular creative writing and book-making class will have a capacity of 15 students this summer and will run from June 22-July 22, for a total of 10 sessions. 

WRITE TO RISE SUMMER 2021 APPLICATION

Our fee for WRITE TO RISE, which includes a printed book students get to take home at the end of the summer, is $175. Financial aid is available on a limited basis. Please sign up with the application posted on "Our Offerings/Enrichment Classes" tab above.

Small-group Community Reading Clinic (CRC) Sessions, Tuesday OR Thursday 3:30-4:30pm. We are offering the following small-group sessions this summer between June 22-July 22: 

Tuesday, June 22-July 20 (3:30-4:30pm): Grades 1-3 (in 2021-2022) Small-group CRC - NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
Thursday, June 24-July 22 (3:30-4:30pm): Grades 4-6 (in 2021-2022) Small-group CRC - NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS

Space in each CRC Small-group session is limited to 12 students. Our fee is $125 for this 5-class session. Financial aid is available on a limited basis. Please sign up with the application posted on "Our Offerings/Community Reading Clinic" tab above.

 
ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS WILL not BE OFFERED IN SUMMER OR FALL, 2021. INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS WITH CLINICIANS WILL RESUME IN SPRING, 2022.

Financial Aid

Financial aid forms become available to all parents/guardians after their child(ren)'s acceptance into one of our programs.
