Cohort Model
HARMONY scholars form a cohort drawn from both years of the School Counseling Program and all 3 years of the School Psychology Program. This project design assures that Scholars are linked vertically with students across levels during their programs for support and peer mentoring.
HARMONY scholars participate in regular cross-disciplinary collaboration. Project Scholars meet weekly in Seminar and at project fieldwork sites to study together and share cross-disciplinary applications of their work.
Our Project Scholars come from varying tribal communities as well as cultures other than Native. Over the years, nations represented have included:
- Navajo/Diné
- Hopi
- Paiute-Pomo
- Mixtec
- Cree
- Luiseño
- Absentee Shawnee
- Lakota Sioux
- Mescalero Apache
- Ojibway
- Choctaw

- Pawnee
Hmong, Vietnamese, Pilipino, African-American, and Mexican-American scholars have also joined the project cohorts.
