Kim completed her Bachelor of Science in Public Health at San Diego State University and is currently in the process of earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Her interests include social justice, equitable access to education, business management, and community engagement. Kim was proudly born in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, and is a first-generation student and staff member at SDSU. Her experiences as a multiethnic woman of Latinx and Vietnamese roots have guided and cultivated her passion to serve lower-income communities and work in higher education to promote access to education. According to the Analytics Studies and Institutional Research Team at SDSU, 31.7% of our students identified as Hispanic in the Spring 2022 semester. Kim speaks Spanish fluently and is more than happy to speak to students in both English and Spanish.
