Giving Priorities
Fundraising priorities at SDSU’s College of Education focus on programs that offer growth opportunities for the university, enable donors to impact student learning in unique ways, and respond to trends influencing higher education.
Priority Programs
Below are several program areas with a particular need for donor support:

CABWARE
The Center for Achieving Black Wellness and Anti-Racist Education (CABWARE) at San Diego State University is dedicated to enhancing the lives of all people of African Descent with special emphasis on the San Diego region.

Chinese Cultural Center
The Chinese Cultural Center (CCC) provides a space to host visiting scholars, lecture series and exhibitions and is part of the university’s larger efforts to increase international and binational awareness, education and partnerships.

Faculty Mentoring Grants
This program supports faculty mentees participating in professional development activities that will advance their research.

Scholarships
Too many talented individuals shy away from careers in education because of the extra schooling required to attain teaching, counseling or leadership credentials. Scholarships can help ensure that we attract bright, talented young people to careers in education.
