Information for COE Faculty & Staff
On this page find helpful links and resources for College of Education Faculty and Staff.
Blackboard will no longer be available after Spring 2021 (May 21, 2021). ITS created an array of resources to assist faculty with archiving courses and migrating course content to Canvas. Learn more at the ITS Canvas LMS website.
The Dean's Office has launched a Google form for all building access requests. Faculty and staff wishing to gain building access in COE should complete this form rather than the previous procedure of emailing the dean.
All IT and website support requests are managed through the ServiceNow Service Portal, a ticketing platform that allows SDSU to manage support requests in a central location. Please use ServiceNow to make inquiries or get support from the College of Education IT team, including Ed Dial, Gregg Koyamatsu, Andrea Saltzman Martin, Manny Uribe, and their student workers. For instructions, see How to Submit an Incident Ticket in Service Portal.
Creating a Virtual Front Desk -- In June, colleagues from Career Services, the Center for Human Resources, and the Faculty Instructional Technology (FIT) Center provided some best practices on creating a "Virtual Front Desk." Follow the link to the recorded panel discussion; the slides are also available.
COE Support: To assist faculty with the transition to virtual instruction, the College of Education (COE) Virtual Support Team is offering several virtual workshops via Zoom throughout this week.
Submit Support Request: In addition, faculty can request individualized instructional and technical support through: http://servicenow.sdsu.edu.
SDSU must quickly transition all staff, management, and student employees, including those working in auxiliary units, to telework arrangements.
To support those who will telework, SDSU’s Information Technology Services has introduced [email protected]: Remote Work Resources. This new site provides tools and resources for remote work, including request forms for equipment and other materials that may be provided without having to come to campus.
