Bio

Mely is a bilingual, LGBTQ+ affirming, licensed therapist, and he is part of the CBB class of 2020. Mely specializes in gender affirming care and utilizes person-centered, feminist, and emotion focus theories to support individuals in finding their authentic self and living their truth. His interests are working with BIPOC, queer, trans and intersex communities and utilizes somatic practices to foster embodiment. In his full-time work, Mely is one of the Gender Affirming Care Coordinators and Co-founders of The STRIDE Program at UC San Diego.
