ADELANTE

The ADELANTE program prepared participants to teach English language learners with disabilities. Prospective teachers were trained in the use of curricula aligned with California Standards for English Language Development and Common Core Standards. ADELANTE was a Bilingual/ Special Education Dual Credentialing program to Enhance Language Acquisition and to promote Literacy.

CSESA

The Center on Secondary Education for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (CSESA) was a research and development project funded by the U.S. Department of Education that focused on developing, adapting, and studying a comprehensive school and community-based education program for high school students on the autism spectrum.

LEAPS

LEAPS: Leadership for Evidence-Based Autism Programs in Schools. This project explored leadership and other organizational factors related to implementation of educational programs for students with ASD.

Project BEAMS 

Project BEAMS worked to improve preservice preparation of school psychologists and special educators to serve diverse students with behavioral, emotional, and mental health challenges in California's public schools. Project BEAMS was a collaborative project of the Counseling and School Psychology Department and the Department of Special Education.

Project MAINSAIL

Project MAINSAIL (M.A. degree Interdisciplinary preparatioN for Speech-language And early Intervention Leaders) was an interdisciplinary program for 16 early childhood special educators (ECSE) and 16 speech-language pathologists (SLP) with a focus on children with significant autism who were dual language learners. ECSEs graduated with a Professional Clear Education Specialist credential, and SLPs graduated with a Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential, both enabling them to work in schools.
