Professional Learning for Teachers and Prospective Teachers

The San Diego Mathematics Project is a regional site of the California Mathematics Project. Our site provides training, networking and leadership opportunities to support math teaching and learning throughout San Diego and Imperial Counties.

The CGI Professional Development Collaborative provides training, coaching and leadership support for Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) math. CGI is an approach to teaching mathematics that builds from children's natural sense-making and intuitive problem-solving strategies. CGI teachers use specific knowledge of their students' mathematical thinking as the basis for instructional decisions.

The SDSU Mathematics/Science Teacher Initiative (MSTI) is a collaboration between the College of Education and the College of Sciences to support future math and science teachers with scholarships and local classroom experiences.
