Submitting Your Transcripts
Transcripts must be sent by the institution
AFTER you submit your Cal State Apply application, have your official transcript(s) sent to SDSU Graduate Admissions. SDSU requires 1 official transcript from all schools attended (except SDSU):

When requesting an electronic transcript, you can choose San Diego State University on the selection menu or have them emailed to: [email protected].
- SDSU will not accept transcripts emailed from students.
- SDSU accepts electronic transcripts in PDF or EDI format.

TOEFL Exam (Proof of English Proficiency)
If you earned your degree in a country where English is not the primary language, then you will likely be required to take the TOEFL exam. TOEFL official scores, that are not more than 2 years old and have a minimum score of of 80 iBT/ 550 PBT, must be sent directly from the Educational Testing Services (ETS) TOEFL using SDSU’s Institution Code 4682.
