Bachelor's Degree Requirement

Bilingual Credential Program

All credential applicants must have completed — or be in the process of completing — a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

If You Are Completing Your Bachelor's Degree at:

SDSU

You do not need to submit a transcript. SDSU already has access to your academic records.

Another Institution

You must provide the following:

  1. One official transcript after submitting your Cal State Apply application and before the File Completion deadline (typically April 1).
  2. If your degree is still in progress at that time, a second official transcript showing your awarded degree will be required once your degree is conferred.

For transcript submission instructions, see Official Transcripts.

If You Earned Your Degree:

Outside the U.S.

You are required to submit an official transcript evaluation from an approved agency. We recommend:

International Education Research Foundation, Inc. (IERF)

Phone: 310-258-9451
Email: [email protected]
Website: ierf.org

Request the Detail Report with Course Level Identification.

If you use IERF, SDSU can receive your evaluation and official transcripts electronically directly from the agency.
