Matthew Rhoads, Ed.D., is an Educational Specialist, university lecturer, teacher candidate supervisor, consultant, researcher, and author from San Diego, California, who specializes in educational technology and instruction, data-driven decision-making, data literacy, and online and blended learning settings. His book Navigating the Toggled Term focuses on instructional and organizational frameworks that can help K-12 schools and districts toggle between online, hybrid, and traditional educational settings in addition to providing chapters on selecting ed-tech tools, mainstream ed-tech tools, and their instructional integrations with research-based strategies, differentiating instruction, and Special Education case management. Dr. Rhoads's research interests include teacher and school leader data-driven decision-making, developing data literacy curriculum to teach educators to harness the data collected from edtech to drive instructional decision-making, the integration of edtech tools and instructional strategies, and professional development.
