The credential analysts at SDSU are committed to providing students, alumni and our local community with exceptional and timely advising and credential processing services. We aim to provide credential assistance and support to our students during their programs and throughout their careers. We conduct our credentialing activities in a responsible manner in accordance with California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) regulations.

Transfer CA Certification to Another State

Learn about the process of transferring your CA teaching or services license to another state. This form is for SDSU credential program graduates only.

Subject Matter Preparation Program (CSET Waiver)

Although completion of a Waiver Program is no longer required to meet Subject Matter preparation requirements in the state of California, some individuals may require proof of having completed a waiver program for enrollment at institutions outside of California. Learn how to submit the online subject matter preparation program (CSET waiver letter) request form. This form is for undergraduate students who have completed the subject matter waiver program at SDSU and plan to enroll in a credential program at another institution. You will need to upload your Advisors Recommendation form signed by the appropriate undergraduate subject matter advisor from SDSU.
