Bio

Professional Biography

I am a full-time lecturer in the Department of Child and Family Development. Courses that I often teach include lifespan human development, early/middle childhood development, observation of children’s behaviors, parenting the school-age child, and lab classes where students participate in on-campus or off-campus service learning. I am also the coordinator for undergraduate service learning agreements and assist the CFD faculty members in establishing SLAs with the off-campus field experience sites and related matters. I had been a preschool teacher before I started pursuing my doctoral degree. For more than 1.5 decades, I have been a volunteer teacher and coordinator for the by-weekly program at Tzu Chi Buddhist Organization, where we teach school-age children about Buddhism philosophy in self-responsibility, gratitude, environmental protection, compassion, and relief using hands-on activities.
