Bio
My name is Jorge Flores-Blanco. I was born and raised in Honduras. My journey as an educator began at Florence Elementary in the San Diego Unified School District. From there, I moved to Las Vegas, where I taught middle school math for a few years before returning to San Diego in 2013 to join the EJE Academies, a dual language Charter School in El Cajon. In my 12 years at EJE, I had the privilege of serving in multiple roles: as a middle school math and science teacher, as Dean of Instruction—where I worked alongside teachers to strengthen math instruction—and most recently as an Interim Executive Director. Each of these experiences shaped my belief that strong relationships, high expectations, and a supportive environment are the keys to student success.Currently I am serving as a vice principal at Pepper Drive Elementary in Santee School District.
